- The Crown Estate is a diverse property business valued at more than £8 billion. The property we manage is owned by the Crown but is not the private property of the monarch. We are governed by an Act of Parliament and work supportively with government; in Westminster, in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and at a local level. Our net surplus (profit) goes to the Treasury for the benefit of the nation.

Focused on a clear investment strategy, in managing the business we take advantage of market conditions to maximise returns and manage risks.

Our investment strategy focuses on our core sectors where we have competitive advantage. We continue to redevelop and invest in our core commercial holdings, inside and outside of London. We are investing significant sums to facilitate the development of renewables on our marine estate, and we will remain a long-term agricultural landowner.
