Corporate Responsibility
The Crown Estate's commitment to Corporate Responsibility (CR) continues to be underpinned by our three core values of commercialism, integrity and stewardship. These values inform and shape the work we do and the aspirations we hold.
Over the past four years, we have been implementing a formal CR programme, made up of long-term objectives and annual targets. These targets cover the diverse areas of our business and our progress against them is audited by third party advisors each year. A summary of our progress in achieving the 19 public targets that we set for 2007/08 is provided in the chart below.
The work carried out this year reflects an increasing commitment to CR from all employees. Throughout the year, the senior management team and management board have also been working to define a series of high level aspirational CR targets to underpin our efforts in this area until 2011.
