We acknowledge the work of our suppliers, advisers and contractors in helping us achieve our targets.

To us being good people to do business with means understanding the needs of our customers and tenants and responding to them. As a good landlord, we want to provide a good quality service, choice and flexibility. Our working and living environments should be safe, accessible and secure to a variety of people. Communicating with our customers is very important; seeking their feedback and responding to their views. Our customers should be treated as we would wish to be treated and we work with them to act responsibly towards the environment and local communities.

3 Our people
We are proud of the expertise and enthusiasm of the people we employ and we want them to feel fulfilled in their work. To ensure this, we provide clarity in our employment policies; remunerate employees for their contribution to our business; support equal opportunities; maintain strong communication channels between different levels of employees; provide a safe working environment and promote a healthy lifestyle; and improve learning and innovation by investing in training and development.

4 The environment around us
We believe that our stewardship role on our estates should leave a legacy for future generations. We aim to operate as a lean and enterprising organisation that uses resources efficiently; minimises emissions to land, air and water; curb the production of waste and increase the recycling of waste; improve the conservation and heritage of our natural and built environments.

5 The wider community
We believe vibrant and thriving communities play an important role in our estate and we want to contribute to their vitality. We seek to do this by working with them in partnership and seeking opportunities for inward investment; listening to their views when undertaking development projects; contributing to affordable housing; acting as a good neighbour and supporting community initiatives consistent with our corporate responsibility objectives.
