Lettings – The Choice is Yours
The Crown Estate operates a Choice Based Lettings system for key workers – we call it CBL.
To be eligible, prospective tenants must be nominated by their personnel departments and have to fulfil housing and income criteria.
Once accepted into the pool, all new applicants – as well as existing transfer cases – can log on and download details of our vacant homes via the CBL Applicant site. Applicants can submit bids for any property, subject to it being of a suitable size for their household. The letting is then awarded to the bidder who has spent the longest period of time on the waiting list.
CBL gives eligible key workers real choice and matches applicants to the homes that they want.
