Regent Street's Watches of Switzerland wins design award

Callison, the agency behind the design of 155 Regent Street’s Watches of Switzerland has won an international design award for its work on the company’s flagship showroom, scooping the Retail Design Institute’s 2014 International Store Design Competition’s award in the Hard Line Specialty Stores category.
The competition celebrates exceptional retail experiences across more than 20 categories.
Ted’s Grooming Room opens near Regent Street

Now open at 82 Mortimer Street, Ted’s Grooming Room brings the ancient crafts and techniques of the Ottoman Empire’s master barbers to Regent Street.
Offering everything from a traditional hot-towel shave, eyebrow threading, neck massages and ear flaming, the site is open seven days a week and reinforces the lifestyle offering on Mortimer Street with Workshop Coffee and Psycle.
Decathlon launches pop up climbing wall at Queensgate Centre

Adventurous shoppers got the opportunity to try out their climbing skills at the Queensgate Centre when French retailer Decathlon celebrated its brand new Harlow store with a pop up climbing wall. The new unit was made available following a reconfiguration, enabling two smaller stores to be created. Harvey’s, the UK’s largest specialist furniture retailer, opened last month in the adjoining store.
Fourth & Main take latest residence in St James’s pop-ups

In the run up to Christmas, Fourth & Main will provide a one-stop Christmas pop-up for the discerning gentleman, at 39C Jermyn Street, from 15 – 23 December. Founded by Nikhil Adwalpalkar, the store will also host a great mix of complimentary accessory brands including Hamilton & Hare, Alice Made This, Marwood and Tusting.

School choir mark St James’s tree switch-on

The Soho Parish School choir helped switch on the lights of the St James's Church Piccadilly Christmas tree.
A landmark of the St James's area, the school children made decorations for the tree and the choir performed to the crowds.
The St James's Christmas lights, on Jermyn Street, were switched-on as part of the Fayre of St James's.
