The Crown Estate's commercial portfolio comprises a wide and varied mix of properties ranging from Grade I listed buildings - we are one of the largest owners of listed buildings in the UK - to new purpose built modern offices, retail and shopping centres.
Our total commercial property is worth around £4bn. Spread throughout the United Kingdom, over half is located in central London and the West End, including the international shopping destination of Regent Street.
It is a property portfolio where opportunities are sought, both to add to and enhance the quality of our investments. There a number of building refurbishments presently under way across the portfolio and particularly in Regent Street, where our headquarters are based.

We have committed to a strategy of diversifying our commercial property holdings away from central London by acquiring key assets in major city centre locations, including shopping centres and retail parks.
We take seriously our role as steward of some of the country’s finest buildings and streetscapes and strive to integrate social and environmental concerns in our business operations and in our interaction with stakeholders.
We support the Code of Practice for Commercial Leases. Alternative lease terms will be considered across the portfolio.
Our retail portfolio is 4.2 million sq ft and our office portfolio is 10.6 million sq ft, which puts us amongst the major players in both spheres.
The retail portfolio also includes our headquarters at 16 New Burlington Place, just off Regent Street. The offices are part of a mixed-use development, offering approximately 42,000 sq. ft of office space and 15,000 sq. ft of retail.
