David Shaw and Andy Wells Win Prestigious Awards

David Shaw, Head of Regent Street Strategy and Development, was awarded the Mayfair Times Property Personality Award at the inaugural Mayfair Times Personality of the Year Awards.

This was reward for his role in leading the team, since 2002, responsible for the transformation of Regent Street. This regeneration has led to over 500 new businesses being attracted to the street through a combination of the development of modern space and a focused repositioning.

The award comes on the back of David Shaw being named in Drapers magazine as one of the UK’s top 100 most influential people in fashion. He also is Deputy Chairman of the New West End Company which aims to improve the West End as a place to visit, work and live in.

Andy Wells, Countryside and Forestry Services Manager - Rural Estates, won the Manager of the Year Award under Visit Scotland’s Northern Lights Tourism Awards.  These awards were established in 2003 as a way of encouraging and recognising the excellent work being done in all aspects of the area’s tourism industry.  They have helped put the spotlight on the high quality tourism products and initiatives on offer in Moray, Aberdeen city and shire.

Specifically the Manager of the Year Award looks to recognise the individual who has made a significant contribution to increasing the quality of hospitality and tourism in the region.  Andy won the award in recognition of the work he has done to develop the Glenlivet estate with facilities for visitors including a ranger service, a network of walks and mountain bike trails.
