The Freedom of Information Act and The Crown Estate
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 establishes a general right of access to information held by public authorities, subject to certain exemptions e.g. for security or commercial reasons.
As part of our responsibilities under the Act, we have produced a publication scheme outlining:
- The classes of information we publish or intend to publish
- The manner in which they will be published
- Whether the information is available free of charge or on payment.
