  • Windsor employees recognised in New Year’s Honours

    Two long-serving Windsor employees have been awarded the Royal Victorian Medal (RVM) in the New Year's Honours list.

    Ian Garnett retired on New Year's Eve as gardens team supervisor after working at The Crown Estate for 32 years, while Rob McGee has worked on the Windsor estate as a carpenter for 33 years.

  • Early Christmas present for West Somerset Community College

    We have presented West Somerset Community College students and staff with a Christmas tree for the school's lobby.

    The tree, from one of our oldest Dunster Christmas tree plantations, was presented to say thank you for the efforts and dedication of students who helped our forestry team as part of their Christmas tree management course. The course teaches aspiring foresters every aspect of tree management from planting through to eventual sale.

    Freshly cut Christmas trees are on sale in a variety of sizes from our depot in Windsor from 1 - 23 December 2013.

    Set deep in the forest you can find the depot off the A332 between Windsor and Ascot. The entrance is signposted by the large and beautifully lit Christmas tree opposite the Pink Lodge. Mistletoe and holly will also be available to deck out every festive home.

    We are open 9.00-17.00 including Saturdays and Sundays.

    And once Christmas is over, our tree recycling facilities will be open at The Savill Garden from 6 January 2014.

  • Stars switch on St James’s Christmas lights

    Actors Celia Imrie and James Nesbitt turned on the St James's Christmas lights last night as part of the Fayre of St James's.

    A 500-strong crowd were entertained by stars of stage and screen and musicians in St James's Church Piccadilly, followed by the official switch-on.

    Money raised by the event was donated to charity.

  • Regent Street Partnership extended in £390m Quadrant 3 deal

    We can announce that we have extended our Regent Street partnership through the addition of the landmark £390m Quadrant 3 redevelopment. The deal sees NBIM take a 25 per cent stake in the £390 million Quadrant 3 scheme, in addition to their existing 25 per cent stake in the rest of Regent Street.

    Throughout December admission into The Savill Garden is free! Father Christmas will be visiting The Savill Garden on selected dates, arriving on festive horse and carriage (subject to weather conditions!) Booking required.

  • School choir mark St James’s tree switch-on

    The Soho Parish School choir has helped switch on the lights of the St James's Church Piccadilly Christmas tree.

    A landmark of the St James's area, the school children made decorations to dress the tree and the choir performed to the crowds to mark the switch-on.

    The St James's Christmas lights, situated on Jermyn Street, will be switched-on as part of the Fayre of St James's, taking place on Thursday 5 December.
