The Burberry autumn/winter 2015 campaign has just completed shooting in St James’s, London.
Featuring an all British cast of 12 models, musicians and actors, the talent includes model Ella Richards, granddaughter of Keith Richards, actress Holliday Grainger, model/actress Amber Anderson, musician Tom Odell and actor Harry Treadaway.

Thrive is coming to MK1 Shopping & Leisure Park

The Thrive Summer Series comes to MK1 Shopping & Leisure Park, 11 am – 4 pm, Saturday 5 July, 11 am – 4 pm, Saturday 4 July.
There will be fun activities for all, including an ‘Activate Area’ where local groups are invited to show off their fitness activity before inviting the crowds to give it a go. The Thrive Cycle Challenge will provide a chance to pedal your way to prizes on a static bike. National cycling charity CTC will be sharing ideas on all you need to start cycling plus offering you the option to sign up for a free Bikeability course.

‘Moos, Milk’ educational day in Somerset

Eastbury Farm near Minehead opened its gates to children in the latest in a series of educational events held across our rural estates.
The event attracted up 350 children from 12 local schools, who were there to see first hand life on a modern dairy farm and learn about farming as a career.
Environmental charity the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) was also on hand to show how the farm combines dairy production with taking a positive approach to the environment.
Pink Floyd unveils second Regent Street Heritage Plaque

Roger Waters and Nick Mason, the founding band members of iconic rock group Pink Floyd, today unveiled the second Regent Street Heritage Plaque to mark the site of the former Regent Street Polytechnic at 309 Regent Street where they met.
While studying architecture between 1962 and 1965, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright met and formed the band.
Maritime archaeological discoveries on the West coast of Scotland

A community-based underwater archaeology project funded by The Crown Estate has uncovered a wide range of finds, including flying boats, stone anchors, shipwrecks and coastal heritage sites on Scotland’s west coast.
Project SAMPHIRE is led by WA Coastal & Marine in partnership with RCAHMS and the Flinders University of South Australia. In 2013 we announced a further £75,000 over two years.
RSPB call for volunteers for Portland little terns

The RSPB are calling for volunteers to help warden the little tern colony at Portland from late May to the end of July.
Gary Thompson, Asset Manager, said: “We are pleased to continue to support this project which has seen the only little tern colony in the south west increase from 10 to 33 breeding pairs; which of course is mainly due to the dedicated, diligent and tireless work of the wardens and volunteers.”

Windsor Great Park marks VE Day Celebrations

This Friday, 8 May, the Principal Beacon commemorating the 70th anniversary of VE Day will be lit in Windsor Great Park. The lighting of the beacon signals the moment at which over two hundred further beacons across the UK, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man will also be ignited.
The event marks the start of a week of celebrations for all those who took part in the Second World War in Europe, both on the Home Front and overseas.
New design for 2015 Regent Street Christmas lights

This year the famous Regent Street Christmas lights are being redesigned by ACT Lighting Design.
Intended as an immersive experience, each element will continuously evolve thanks to tailored video animations, projections and lights, and come the end of 2015 Christmas shoppers will be able to walk under a ‘golden way’ along the street.
