Win at Building Public Trust Awards 2009

The Crown Estate's 2009 Annual Report and Accounts has been recognised in this year's Building Public Trust awards. Sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the awards recognise excellence in corporate reporting in three categories: FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and public sector.

The Crown Estate has won the public sector category: 'Recognition in the Public Sector for Excellence in Reporting'.

The judges' report on The Crown Estate's 2009 Report and Accounts said that it was a piece of, "highly effective communication supported by clear signposting using headings, colour schemes and graphics. The tone is open and candid, commenting not just on achievements but also challenges and issues. Key messages are emphasised through a highlights section and lively case studies."

John Lelliott, Director of Finance at The Crown Estate, commenting on the award, said: "It is an enormous honour that we have won this year's award, against such distinguished entries. Our report and accounts were a team effort, and I congratulate everyone who contributed."

Roger Bright, Chief Executive, and John Lelliott presented with the award at the awards ceremony on 30 September.
