Award presentation

In the judges praise for the building, it was commented that: "Externally the design is both brave and testing, whilst elegantly retaining the original facades. Internally the building delivers highly efficient but simple floor plates that maximise the aspects along Piccadilly". There was also praise for the scheme's "high environmental credentials" and "bold but beautifully delivered" public art.

One Eagle Place forms part of the £100 million St James's Gateway redevelopment. The scheme, designed by Eric Parry and Partners, was the first to be delivered as part of our £500 million investment programme in St James's and comprises office, retail and residential development totaling some 9,300 m2 (100,000 ft2). Each of the six office floors at One Eagle Place have now been let, with tenants including Virgin Money and Haymarket Financial.

Head of Development Alastair Smart commented: "It's a huge testament to the hard work of our team to receive such national recognition in the form of this award. Our success now sets a benchmark for our on-going investment and development plan across St James's."
