Italian fashion brand Stefanel secures Regent Street flagship

Italian clothing retailer Stefanel will become the latest successful international fashion brand to open on Regent Street after agreeing a ten year lease with the Regent Street Partnership, which comprises The Crown Estate and Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM).

The letting will see Stefanel open a 2,600 sq ft store across the basement and ground floors at 78 Regent Street later in the spring.

The addition of Stefanel, which will neighbour luxury accessories and lifestyle brand Coach, will further enhance Regent Street’s already impressive line-up of fashion and accessories retailers, which includes the likes of Banana Republic, Burberry, COS, J Crew and Michael Kors. Most recently, it was announced in February that, Spanish jeweller, Uno de 50, will be opening its first UK flagship on Regent Street in the coming months.

The Crown Estate manages Regent Street on behalf of our partnership with NBIM.

Asset Manager Katerina Mercury said: "Stefanel has been a standout family managed business for over half a century. Its heritage, creativity and stylish luxury are perfect for Regent Street’s customers so we’re really looking forward to their opening.”

Mr Giuseppe Stefanel, President of Stefanel Group, said: “We’re delighted to be coming to Regent Street, the UK’s premier destination for premium fashion and accessories. The new store will provide the perfect showcase for our full clothing range and our special knitwear which embodies theItalian identity, high quality and timeless sophisticated design for which Stefanel is renowned.”

Regent Street’s transformation into a world-leading shopping and leisure destination has been achieved through our £1 billion investment programme which began in 2002. This investment has seen historic blocks regenerated to create modern, high quality accommodation, including new flagship retail units to cater for the world’s leading brands.

The success of this investment programme has meant that Regent Street has become the destination of choice for successful global brands looking to come to the UK for the first time, open a flagship store or launch a new concept. Regent Street’s current tenant list includes Apple’s UK flagship and the largest Burberry in the world as well as UK firsts for brands like Uno de 50, Karl Lagerfeld, & Other Stories and Hunter.

CBRE advised The Crown Estate and Hartnell Taylor Cook advised Stefanel.
