Thrive

The aim of Thrive is to emphasise the fun side of getting fit and being active this summer. It is free for shoppers and visitors alike and a great chance to focus on healthy living, being more active, and connecting with your local community.

Hannah Milne, Head of Regional Portfolio said: “We are excited to launch the Thrive Summer Series which will create a sustainable and engaging event for the local community. This nationwide initiative will see a wide range of fun activities to promote an active lifestyle, health and wellbeing. We are also partnering with CTC to encourage safe cycling in the local area.”

Visitors will be able to choose from activities including:

Local Mates: Wilma Whistle helps introduce you to your local sports groups and clubs. It features a 10-minute demonstration followed by a 20-minute class for anyone who wants to join in.

Activate: Dr Spin will encourage people to get on their bikes and beat the clock, or keep the music going – the harder you cycle the louder the music in the park!

Hydrate: Sports need spectators and this is chill out water-bar is the perfect place to watch the activities or sample a water cocktail.

Healthy Plates: Throw different foods onto a giant plate! Tasty the Chef will be running a fun game that shows people that with a bit of care, you can still eat all your favourite foods.
