“You’re face to face with the man who sold the world.” David Bowie.

This exhibition is a unique collection of images from three British photographers who shared a close working relationship with David Bowie. Many have not been exhibited before and have not been seen outside the photographers’ studios -
pictures of David from the private archives of Chalkie Davies, Tony McGee and Denis O’Regan.

David Bowie: Fame, Fashion, Photography honours the extraordinary career of music’s biggest star with iconic images captured on stage, in the studio and on tour.

This free-entry exhibition, supported by Regent Street, takes place on the very street where David Bowie was photographed for the cover of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars, released in June 1972.

It aims to raise thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK through a silent online auction of framed images, which are signed by the photographers. Bidding opens at 6.30pm on June 6th and ends at 6.30pm on June 19th www.cruk.org/BowieFFP

With curation by the V&A team behind the David Bowie Is exhibition and a specially chosen Bowie music mix selected by lifelong Bowie fan, Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp, this is a must-see show for both David Bowie fans and
for anyone who appreciates the best of modern British rock photography. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to buy a limited edition, hand-numbered David Bowie: Fame, Fashion, Photography catalogue, exclusively available at the gallery during the exhibition with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.

For the first time ever in a gallery setting, the Regent Street app, will host the world’s first immersive in-app gallery experience. The exhibition has been commissioned by Regent Street, which will use its app to display the entire collection of photographs complete with audio by each of the artists describing the details behind these unique portraits.

The first of its kind, this innovation will allow fans visiting the pop-up gallery on Heddon Street, to experience this unique exhibition and hear personal recollections from Chalkie Davies, Denis O’Regan, and Tony McGee, via the
app. In the run up to the exhibition, the Regent Street app will be posting updates, along with details of how to win one of 30 exclusive tickets to attend an intimate Q&A session with Chalkie, Denis and Tony.
