The website will offer much more information for all users of Windsor Great Park and Swinley Forest making it easier to plan, explore and share visits to the 16,500 acre estate.

New website features, alongside stunning photographs, include:

  • An interactive map to provide accurate information specific to every visitors’ needs
  • Suggested ideas and activities to enjoy different areas of Windsor Great Park
  • Seasonal guidance to the highlight flowers and plants to look out for in the Gardens
  • ‘Visitor Update’ real time essential information
  • Educational Visits including the School’s Open Day and Forest School Initiative
  • An interactive historical timeline of Windsor Great Park
  • A ‘Save the Date’ feature for favourite events
  • Links to popular social media sites Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and TripAdvisor.

Paul Sedgwick, Deputy Ranger of Windsor Great Park, said: “In the digital age, visitors expect the information they need to plan a memorable day out at their fingertips. We have substantially increased the amount of information available on our new website, to provide a high quality experience that assists all our visitors, both at home and on the move, and that matches the excellent  standards we achieve here at Windsor Great Park.”

Encompassing The Savill Garden, Virginia Water, The Valley Gardens and the Long Walk and Deer Park – Windsor Great Park is a popular visitor destination  at any time of year. Close to 5 million people a year come to enjoy the historical monuments, ancient forests and stunning horticultural displays, as well as rare wildlife, plants and fungi.

Welcoming walkers, cyclists, horse-riders, dog walkers and joggers as well as UK and international visitors – the Great Park combines natural discovery, and active experiences, with a Royal history spanning over 1,000 years.
