M&S extension at Silverlink Shopping Park

Marks and Spencer have taken on a new lease of the former Comet store at the Silverlink Shopping Park, Newcastle, extending their existing store, to a total of 74,056 sq ft of prime retail space. The new store opens on 11 April 2014. The scheme is now fully let.

Quadrant 3 fuel cell wins sustainability award

The revolutionary energy centre on our Quadrant 3 redevelopment has been awarded the Property Week Sustainability Award.

The hydrogen cell is the largest and most efficient molten-carbonate fuel cell in Europe. It was installed in early 2013 and helps to provide 18 per cent of the energy needed for both Quadrant 3 and the redeveloped Café Royal, now a 5 star hotel, next door.

‘Reading Bug’ at Altrincham Retail Park

Altrincham Retail Park hosted a Reading Bug event on 22-23 March to launch the 'Get Altrincham Reading' campaign.

A bug character ran fun storytelling sessions with children and families within an area complete with fake grass and picket fencing.

The campaign will be rolled out across local primary schools, community groups and the library, until Friday 9 May, inviting children to write stories about why they like Altrincham. All the short stories will be displayed at Altrincham Retail Park to encourage families and children to vote for their entries. The best story, as voted for by the local community, will receive a fantastic £500-worth of books for their school.

Purchase of rural portfolio from Rio Tinto

We have purchased a 4,500 acre agricultural land portfolio in Northumberland from Rio Tinto. The portfolio will now be known as the Ellington estate.

The portfolio includes agricultural land, farm buildings, 19 homes, and an operational 13 turbine wind farm leased to Scottish Power Renewables.
