Press Release
WEDDING FAIR AT THE ROYAL LANDSCAPE’S SAVILL GARDEN
10 April 2008
To mark the launch of the exclusive Savill Garden as a wedding reception venue, The Royal Landscape is hosting a Wedding Fair on Sunday 27 April from 11am to 4pm at The Savill Building. Around twenty top local wedding suppliers from Windsor, Ascot, Egham and the surrounding area, will have stands at the Wedding Fair. Entrance to the fair is free, and bubbly and canapés will be served to Wedding Fair visitors at intervals throughout the day with performances from a Frank Sinatra impersonator and a flute and harp duo.
The Royal Landscape offers an exclusive venue tailored to individual requirements. Wedding receptions can be held in a marquee on the private lawn during the day and evening; the award winning Savill Building can be used in the evening for eating and entertainment. The Savill Garden provides a spectacular backdrop for wedding photographs.
Event Sales Manager, Careen von der Behrens, says: “The Savill Garden offers a unique wedding reception venue within one of the finest woodland and ornamental gardens in the country. This is the first year that we have provided the lawn for entertaining and it can be booked for both day and evening receptions. We can cater for up to 300 guests on the lawn and 160 for a seated reception in The Savill Building with hospitality provided by Leith’s. It is a rare combination to have a world class garden, an award winning building and professional catering facilities on your doorstep.”
The Savill Garden is part of The Royal Landscape, which also includes The Valley Gardens and Virginia Water. It is England’s finest woodland and ornamental garden with over 35 acres of trees, shrubbery, ponds and streams, lawns, meadows and formal beds which are home to some of the world’s most decorative plants.
