We’ve developed over 60 performance indicators to provide balance across our capitals. These cover our direct, indirect and enabled impacts.

The scope and exact definition of each indicator has been the subject of much discussion internally. The full list includes those for which data is not yet available or where we have only just established a baseline figure. Both positive and negative capital flows are represented.

The table accessed below shows data for the 35 indicators for which we have measurable data on our direct activity, together with indirect and enabled data where we have it. There is still work to be done on the measurement of indirect and enabled impacts. Our focus over the past year has been on improving the quality of our direct data as that is where we can first  make a difference. Within the pdf the data has also been illustrated in bar chart format to give a visual indication of the values attached to each capital, based on the data we have collected.

The values when aggregated represent the baseline point for our three year rolling average Total Contribution trend lines (one each for direct, indirect and enabled impacts) for the future. Use of a rolling average enables us to add and remove indicators, as necessary, to reflect changes in our business activity and impacts.
