Our City portfolio of buildings includes a mixture of historic ownerships and relatively recent acquisitions. Some of the older ownerships include Royal Mint Court, on the site of the former Royal Mint near Tower Bridge, which was converted to provide modern office accommodation alongside community housing, and the former Public Records Building in Chancery Lane. This building has been recently refurbished and is now occupied by Kings College London as a library. It was opened by Her Majesty The Queen in November 2002.
Newer and equally important holdings are located around Holborn Viaduct. These include Atlantic House which was recently redeveloped to provide the home to City solicitors Lovell White Durrant and Fleet Place House; nine floors of high specification office space and two retail units. We have been proactive in helping to create a group of local stakeholders and occupiers to champion the needs of Holborn Viaduct through an Urban Design Strategy. With the enthusiastic support of the City Corporation this has helped to improve the built environment and public realm of the area to the long term benefit of workers and visitors alike.
