The Crown Estate has an interest in two properties in Scotland which have an office and / or retail component. Between them, the combined capital value of these holdings is about half of our total in Scotland.

Fort Kinnaird Retail Park, Edinburgh

We hold an interest in Fort Kinnaird Retail Park via a joint venture limited partnership with the Hercules Unit Trust (HUT).

The 50:50 joint venture incorporates three properties in total – as well as HUT’s 51,000 m² (550,000 ft²) Fort Kinnaird Shopping Park in Edinburgh, there is, in England, The Crown Estate’s Gallagher Retail Park in Cheltenham (23,000 m²; 246,000 ft²) and The Shires Retail Park in Leamington Spa (13,000 m²; 140,000 ft²).

This holding on George Street provides approximately 2,700 m² (29,000 ft²) of office and retail space. It was rebuilt behind a listed Georgian façade in 1994.
