At an event held on 31 May 2007 the winners were presented with their awards.

Listed below is the category criteria and what aspects of the winners' sites impressed the judging panel.

Marine Harvest’s Loch Hourn site illustrates a well-sited farm with good use of equipment and technology to benefit fish health and maximise efficiency. The enthusiastic team work effectively to keep a well maintained site with evidence of good environmental practices and an impressive FCR.

Marine Harvest won the award for their scientific approach to the responsible siting of farms, including the relinquishing through consolidation of unsuitable locations, and a commitment to continuous improvement and research.
