2008 Marine Aquaculture Awards
The produce of Scottish marine aquaculture – salmon, finfish species and shellfish farming – are some of the world’s finest foods.
Yet Scottish aquaculture farmers don’t always get the recognition they deserve for the excellent standards of husbandry used producing such first-rate food that’s both healthy and affordable.
For the last two years The Crown Estate has run an awards scheme to highlight and reward innovation and best practice in the salmon farming industry. Such has been the success of the scheme, this year it is being expanded into the Marine Aquaculture Awards.
The awards have nine categories, are open to big and small producers alike, and entry is free.
