Marine Harvest’s Loch Hourn site illustrates a well-sited farm with good use of equipment and technology to benefit fish health and maximise efficiency. The enthusiastic team work effectively to keep a well maintained site with evidence of good environmental practices and an impressive FCR.
Best Added Value Winner: Johnson Sustainable Seafoods

Best Export Business Winner: Scottish Sea Farms Ltd

Best Contribution to Sustainability Winner: Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd

Marine Harvest won the award for their scientific approach to the responsible siting of farms, including the relinquishing through consolidation of unsuitable locations, and a commitment to continuous improvement and research.
Best Community Initiative Winner: Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd

Marine Harvest’s work with the Camanachd Association won the award for the commitment of staff who regularly give up their spare time to help at events. Thanks in part to their support of the shinty leagues, interest in shinty has increased amongst young people all over Scotland.

Winners of the medium to large category, Scottish Sea Farms continue to demonstrate a high degree of efficiency and sustainability. They have built excellent customer relationships on the basis of their commitment to quality and provided evidence of sound working practices.
