The Crown Estate’s residential portfolio of over 2,400 properties is characterised by its diversity. Properties in residential use are largely found on the historic estates. In London there are estates at Regent’s Park and Kensington. Various properties are also found at Victoria, St James’s, Millbank, Victoria Park and in the West End.
Outside London there are a number at Eltham, Richmond, Egham, Hampton and at other locations around the United Kingdom.
The variety is matched by the range of types of tenure, each of which require different management styles. At one end of the scale are some of the finest and most exclusive houses at Kensington and Regent’s Park. These are some of the most sought after houses in London. Another area of the estate is affordable housing provided at reduced rents to key workers in central London.
