How long will it take to be housed once on the waiting list?

Under our Choice Based Letting system, you will have a greater advantage the longer you have been waiting; however the speed at which you are housed will to some extent be down to you. We only have around 70 vacancies a year and with at least 200 people waiting in our 'pool' there is a fair amount of competition.

If you are new to the 'pool' and need to be housed urgently our advice is to bid for as many properties as you can - if you are selective you are likely to be bidding against other applicants (particularly if the property is spacious, has a garden or a nice view) who may have been waiting much longer than you. We do recommend however that you take advantage of the opportunity to view the property before bidding, so that you know what to expect if your bid should succeed.
