SJ BERWIN LLP APPOINTED BY THE CROWN ESTATE PANEL FOR THE PRESTIGIOUS REGENT STREET PORTFOLIO

SJ Berwin LLP has won a competitive tender to provide legal services to The Crown Estate for their Regent Street portfolio. The appointment takes effect from April 2006 and is for a period of four years.

This appointment is the third to be made by The Crown Estate as part of their review of legal services across their urban estate. It is the first time The Crown Estate has instructed a single law firm to cover the entirety of the Regent Street portfolio which is a reflection of the intensity of change underway on this portfolio and the integral role which lawyers play in that.

Regent Street is currently undergoing a £500 million redevelopment programme to secure its position as a world class destination synonymous with quality, heritage, style and success. The Crown Estate are attracting international retailers, flagship stores and commercial businesses to Regent Street that make it a great place for people and business alike.
