Tomintoul site chosen for 'Scottish Scenic Routes'

The third group of structures / installations to be built as part of the Scottish Scenic Routes’ initiative has been launched, and included in the three distinct sites is one near Tomintoul, within the Cairngorms National Park, on land managed by The Crown Estate.
The competition is open to young architects and landscape architects within five years of having completed RIBA Part II or the achievement of Graduate landscape Architect status.
Glenlivet Estate seeks cycling footage for digital project

BikeGlenlivet on the Glenlivet Estate is looking for cycling footage to use in short films about the trails, and they can even provide the cameras!
Three new films about the trails have just been released, showcasing the BikeGlenlivet centre, the Red Trail and the Blue Trail. Produced as part of the Highland & Islands Enterprise Digital Tourism Project, the films are being used to help market the bike trails throughout the UK.

A new Montessori School is set to open on the Datchet Road following a successful planning application for a change of use by The Crown Estate. The school will be located in Old Windsor opposite the Windsor Farm Shop and is expected to open later this year.

CITiZAN, the Coastal and Intertidal Zone Archaeological Network, is the first national community-led project focused on the threat to archaeological sites along England’s coast and tidal estuaries which are at risk from extreme weather, rising sea levels and tidal scour.
Portland little tern study reveals epic journeys

Conservationists studying little terns nesting on The Crown Estate's Chesil Beach have discovered that during their migrations two of the nesting residents have notched up over 100,000 km each.
Gary Thompson, Coastal Manager, said: “We are delighted to have been able to support the little tern project since its inception and today’s fantastic news of its continued success demonstrates what can be achieved through dedication and working in partnership.”
The Chesil Beach Little Tern Project is a partnership between RSPB, Natural England, Crown Estate, Portland Court Leet, Dorset Wildlife Trust and the Chesil and Fleet Nature Reserve.
