Rural Business Awards 2007

The rural business award has been won by Tim Piper of Chapel Bank Farm on the Romney Marsh estate in Kent. The judges were impressed with the efficiency and development of their business operations; their responsible care of the environment around them and their contribution to society throughout their locality and beyond. Over the past 30 years, the Piper family have grown their business ten-fold, taking full advantage of gaining the tenancy of The Crown Estate's Chapel Bank Farm on the Romney Marsh estate in 1979.
