The Crown Estate, valued at over £6 billion, manages a wide range of land and property across the United Kingdom, including over 55 percent of the foreshore and almost all of the seabed out to the 12 nautical mile limit. Every year we pay all of our surplus revenue to the UK Treasury for the benefit of all taxpayers. Our activities are supported by our core values of commercialism, integrity and stewardship, which inform the way we behave and the actions we take to fulfil our responsibilities. As part of this commitment we pride ourselves on optimising our marine assets while balancing societal, economic and environmental considerations.

In this role you will offer an efficient and effective support service to our external affairs and marine spatial planning (MSP) team. Your knowledge of the UK’s regulatory framework and legislation will allow you to help the team respond to government consultations on marine policy and planning matters. You will also have the organisational skills to provide diverse business and professional support to all team members.

With a relevant degree or suitable experience gained in a policy or planning environment, you will enjoy working as part of a team and as you will be responsible for building good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with a customer service orientated focus. You will also have a flexible approach to your work.
