Rushden Lakes

A destination like no other

Rushden Lakes is one of our most exciting assets.

It combines the best in shopping, leisure and dining and is set beside 200 acres of tranquil SSSI protected Nene wetlands, managed by The Wildlife Trusts.

And this year Rushden Lakes has been transformed with the completion of 210,000 sq ft of new retail and leisure space which has created a truly mixed-use destination, unique in the surrounding area.

The new West Terrace is home to Cineworld’s 14-screen multiplex cinema with IMAX, Screen X and 4DX special effects, a host of well-known and independent cafes and restaurants, and other exciting leisure activities like Paradise Island adventure golf, 360 Play children's play, and Rock Up indoor climbing.

The new Garden Square, which completed in May 2019, is a contemporary, landscaped space filled with inspiring brands. Garden Square unites the south side of Rushden Lakes with the new leisure and cinema extension and provides new retail opportunities. This year, Rushden Lakes has welcomed over 20 new brands, including Barbour, Beaverbrooks and Skechers, alongside independent retailers such as Out of Office Coffee House and AJ Cycles.

As well as great retail and dining, Rushden Lakes offers a range of free and paid-for leisure activities including climbing, walking, canoeing and cycling, set against a backdrop of beautiful natural countryside. Wildlife discovery and bird watching is supported by The Wildlife Trusts’ visitor centre, with boat and canoe hire offered by local experts Canoe2.

Earlier this year we exchanged agreements to acquire 54 acres of land to the west of the site. This new land will enable us to bring forward future phases of development and deliver a new access road to the centre.
