St James’s Market secures another office HQ letting

TowerBrook Capital Partners, a London and New York-based investment firm, is moving its UK headquarters to St James’s Market, the landmark development from The Crown Estate and Oxford Properties.

With this latest deal, St James’s Market is now three quarters (75%) let. TowerBrook Capital Partners will take 16,500 sq. ft. on the third floor of 1 St James’s Market. Simon Korn Commercial Property Consultants acted for TowerBrook.

The signing of TowerBrook Capital Partners follows last month’s announcement that two international firms, including energy company SOCAR Trading, are to locate their UK Headquarters at 2 St James’s Market.

This letting further reinforces the reputation of St James’s Market as the new destination for business in the heart of London’s West End”

St James’s Market, a new 260,000 sq. ft. commercial development between Haymarket and Regent Street St James’s, comprises 210,000 sq. ft. of new, modern office accommodation, alongside six flagship retail stores for best in class lifestyle and fashion, and seven new restaurants, all set within over half an acre of revitalised public space.

In total, 191,500 sq. ft. at the development has been let, including:

  • Over 146,500 sq. ft. of premium office space, including the global headquarters of both Formula 1 and The Carlyle Group.
  • All 7 restaurants are now let to some of the best names in global cuisine including internationally acclaimed Nordic restaurant Aquavit, Japanese Anzu, Salt Yard Group’s Veneta, West African restaurant Ikoyi, Urban Tea Rooms, Danish bakery Ole and Steen and the new Duck and Waffle Local.
  • 5 of the 6 flagship retail stores have been let to best in class fashion and lifestyle brands; Aspinal of London, Paul and Shark, Swiss cycling brand ASSOS, Smeg and Jigsaw’s St James’s Emporium.
