Nicholas Cheffings

Nicholas Cheffings joined The Crown Estate in June 2021, as Interim Group Head of Legal.

He has almost 40 years’ experience as a real estate lawyer and litigator. He is currently a consultant Senior Counsel to, and former Partner and global Chair of, the international law firm Hogan Lovells.

He is a champion and advocate of equality, diversity and inclusion and has for the last five years been the Executive Chair of PRIME, a UK charity with over 60 law firm members committed to promoting wider access to law firms for school-age students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Nicholas is also an Independent Member of the governing Council of the University of Exeter; a Trustee and past Chair of the social mobility charity Making the Leap; Chair of the British Paralympic Association's Parallel Club; and a trustee of The CareTech Charitable Foundation.
