FREE ROYAL DAY OUT FOR DADS AT THE SAVILL GARDEN ON FATHER'S DAY

12 June 2009

Give your Dad a special treat on Father's Day with a free visit to the beautiful Savill Garden, Windsor Great Park. The Royal Landscape is giving dads free entry to the Garden (saving £7.50) to celebrate this important day.

Bring your Dad to see the garden as it blooms into its summer prime with lush foliage, flowers and scent. Find the Hidden Gardens and discover day lilies, irises and primulas. The Summer Gardens are looking vibrant, with drifts of colour through the dry garden. In the June border, interesting varieties of roses can be seen, and there are groupings of shrubs with strong yellow and purple foliage providing a backdrop for a range of early summer flowering plants that include cultivars of perennial poppies and peonies.

After a relaxing stroll in the garden, visit the Savill Building and browse around the gift shop, exhibition area and art gallery. Enjoy a meal or snack at the self-service restaurant offering hot and cold food together with traditional cream teas.
