CHRISTMAS AT THE SAVILL GARDEN

28 November 2006

To celebrate the opening of The Savill Building, The Crown Estate has planned a rich programme of events leading up to Christmas – something for everyone, with activities almost daily.

There is music and good cheer, as the Savill Wednesdays seasonal lunchtime concerts began again on 22 November.

Father Christmas will be in his grotto every Friday and Saturday from 1 December, and our exclusive wreathmaking workshops will provide seasonal inspiration for decoration.

Finally, don't miss the visiting team of reindeer, arriving in full harness with Father Christmas and sleigh in tow.

Winter in The Savill Garden

As the season progresses, the garden remains colourful, with the rich hues of leaves and berries. Winter is a quieter time, when the garden reveals another side of its nature, and there are many wonderful discoveries to be made. In the evening, the garden will show a more festive side, with lighting in the oaks that lead down towards the ponds.
