LIBERTY ON REGENT STREET

23 September 2005

Following Liberty’s announcement to reconfigure their store, Iain Renwick, Chief Executive of Liberty, reaffirmed their commitment to Regent Street: “Liberty has always been proud of its association with Regent Street and will continue to be known as ‘Liberty, Regent Street’. Whilst we are reconfiguring our store, I am delighted that we will remain very much part of Regent Street and the retail experience it offers shoppers. We are wholly supportive of the Regent Street vision of a unique international shopping destination and will remain committed supporters and participants in all the events and promotions which make Regent Street so special.”

David Shaw, Head of Regent Street Strategy & Development at The Crown Estate added: “Regent Street continues to be an exciting and vibrant shopping destination. Only yesterday we announced that Habitat and Gerry Weber – totalling 30,000 sq feet of retail space - are coming to the street, which demonstrates that we are continuing to attract quality international retailers. Our £500 million redevelopment programme is delivering on our long term vision for Regent Street as a unique international destination with a world class environment delivering quality, heritage, style and success.

“On the 17,000 sq feet Liberty space which is soon to become available, we will be working closely with the head lessee GPE to attract another quality brand to Regent Street to add to the unique retail experience.”
