We’re committed to health, safety, and ethical and inclusive practices across our business and supply chain.

This means creating places and working environments where people can thrive, and to lead by example in the industries we work in.

  • Safety at work

    We have an accident frequency rate of just 0.17.

  • Mental wellbeing

    We have 114 Mental Health First Aiders across our business.

  • Support in the field

    We employ 25 managing agents trained to support farmers.

Health and safety

Health and safety is central to how we work. We aim to protect and support people in everything we do, both within our business and across our supply chain.

Our approach focuses on three areas. We build strong foundations to manage risk effectively, support our people to lead with confidence, and encourage innovation to improve health and safety across the industries we work in.

Buy Social Corporate Challenge

We’re proud to be part of Social Enterprise UK’s Buy Social Corporate Challenge, delivered in partnership with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), working with other organisations to increase spending with social enterprises.

In 2023/24, we spent around £2.7 million with social and not-for-profit organisations.
