Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act and The Crown Estate
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 establishes a general right of access to information held by public authorities, subject to certain exemptions e.g. for security or commercial reasons.
As part of our responsibilities under the Act, we have produced a publication scheme outlining the classes of information we publish or intend to publish. Please follow the publication scheme link on the right.
The scheme lists classes of information and the information available within each class. Our publication scheme was recently reviewed and refreshed and new material will be added regularly, so please call again soon to discover new published information.
Information will not necessarily be available through the scheme indefinitely - for example, policies and similar documents will be removed when they are no longer current.
If you have any queries regarding our publication scheme, or if you wish to make a Freedom of Information request, please contact:
In the current circumstances, we would appreciate it if you could email us ([email protected]) rather than contact us by post. If you do contact us by post, there may be a delay in our responding to you.
