New business and job support hub launches at Rushden Lakes
The Crown Estate is supporting East Northamptonshire Council with the opening of a new one-stop shop for businesses and job seekers at Rushden Lakes
The ‘Recovery Through Enterprise’ Hub, due to open when restrictions are lifted, will house The Crown Estate’s Recruit Rushden Lakes scheme, an employment and training programme which has been running since 2017, as well as a whole range of other local business services and job seeker support.
It will also become a showcase for Made In Northamptonshire so visitors will be able to sample and buy products from local businesses, providing enhanced profile for producers.
Hannah Milne, Director of Regional at The Crown Estate commented:
“We are always looking for ways we can support our communities, and I hope many local people and businesses will benefit from our partnership with East Northamptonshire Council, as we introduce the Recovery Through Enterprise Hub at Rushden Lakes.
“Our Recruit Rushden Lakes scheme, run with the Department of Work and Pensions, will be one of the services based at the hub. We look forward to expanding this scheme, and working closely with a range of partners to achieve even more together.”
Steven North, Leader of ENC explains:
“Businesses have been going through a very difficult time so we’re looking to expand the support on offer to help them when they need it most.
“We hope to have the hub up and running soon so that people can access a range of help from our committed partners. In the meantime, support is available on our websites and over the phone so do get in touch with us.”
The hub is being supported by a range of different partners including:
- Department of Work & Pensions
- Federation of Small Businesses
- University of Northampton
- Building Business
- Wellingborough & East Northants Chamber
- The Mallows Company
- Destination Nene Valley
