The Crown Estate has today announced Nike’s new concept store, ‘Nike Unite’, is taking space at Fosse Park, along with other new names including Italian restaurant Zizzi, and footwear brand Skechers.

‘Nike Unite’, set to open at the end of May, is taking 10,000 sq ft of space in Fosse Park West, and will have a focus on the local community – with a community wall, celebrating local partnerships and information on the store staff, as well as products tailored to the local community needs. Skechers will also be joining the line-up of exciting brands in Fosse Park West at the end of May.

Zizzi will complete the line-up of names for Food Central, set to open this month. The new restaurant will create around 40 new jobs, and will have indoor and outdoor seating as well as operating a click & collect service and delivery for the local community.

These brands will join an already-impressive line-up across Fosse Park, which has welcomed 25 new and exciting independent, nation-wide and global brands, over the last year. These include H&M, Flannels, Soho Coffee and Isha Patisserie.

This news comes as Fosse Park celebrates a year since the opening of its 140,000-sq. ft. extension, which built on the much-loved destination and created greater choice for visitors. It has introduced new electrical vehicle charging points, cycle parking spaces, and installed photovoltaic panels to power the new development’s external lighting with renewable energy. Along with creating 5,000sqm of planted areas, including green walls, hedgerows, trees, insect hotels and wildflower meadows.

Leanne Catterall, Customer Partnerships Director for London and Regional at The Crown Estate, said:

“Fosse Park has been a much loved destination for many years, and continues to be a key part of the local community, having gone from strength to strength since the opening of the extension.

“As we see visitor numbers bounce back following a challenging couple of years, these new additions to the line-up at Fosse Park are a further vote of confidence in the regional economy and will have an important role to play in drawing new visitors to the area. We look forward to building on these latest arrivals as we create a truly exciting mix of brands across Fosse Park.”
